Batter Up

One of the many benefits of living in Lower Fairfield County, is access to New York City and most of the Burroughs within the hour. Yesterday I spent a great day, even though a little wet, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. I attended a game between the New York Yankee’s and my favorite team the Boston Red Sox, who are historic rivals. Whether it’s the train (Metro North offers trains directly to Yankee Stadium on game days http://www.mta.info/mnr/html/yankees/yankee_service.htm), a car service, or you’re driving yourselves…spending time in NYC (one of the greatest cities in the world) is always worth the trip. Lower Fairfield County offers access to NYC while maintaining a suburban feel that can be appreciated outside of all of the hustle and bustle of a large metropolitan city. Just in case you haven’t visited the stadium yet…you must!! An absolutely perfect day trip for residents of the area.

p.s. Happy to say the Boston Red Sox Won. 8-6 Sorry New York Yankee Fans (The way this season is going chances to gloat are few and far between I couldn’t resist!) :)

Game 3 tonight, 8:05pm (ET)
